How I Got Here
I’m from Washington, D.C., but my family moved every few years while I was growing up. Some of the neighborhoods we lived in were tough places, where crime was part of the surroundings. I didn’t take school particularly seriously, and my first attempt at college ended with me being removed from campus.
When I returned to Maryland, I knew something had to change. At the time, I framed it bluntly: I could become someone, or become no one. I see that differently now, but the urgency was real. I needed to take responsibility for my life's direction.
I started earning straight A’s. I worked full-time at Bank of America while attending Howard Community College full-time and graduated in May 2015 with a 3.95 GPA. For the first time, I had evidence of what I could accomplish when I committed myself.
Then I started making money.
Finding My Way—and Losing My Why
Sales introduced me to a kind of success I hadn’t experienced before. I sold home-service bundles, moved into solar sales, and eventually took an opportunity selling timeshares.
As my income grew, I began questioning why I needed school at all. Somewhere along the way, I lost the reason I had worked so hard to turn things around.
About a year into timeshare sales, I realized the work wasn’t calling to me. In 2017, I joined the Army. It remains one of the best decisions of my life.
Discovering What I Wanted to Build
The military introduced me to specialized technical work and, eventually, programming. I found myself increasingly drawn to understanding how systems worked—and how I could make them work better.
In 2020, while serving in the Army and attending school, I began purchasing homes and renting out individual rooms. At its peak, the rental operation reached 32 doors across properties with an estimated combined value of $1.5 million. After moving to San Antonio, I met my husband and continued building a life around work, education, and real estate.
I also rediscovered my love of learning. I continued my education while working twelve-hour days and running the rental business, completing my bachelor’s degree at American Military University in December 2023.
Those years taught me how much I could carry. They also helped me understand what I wanted to focus on.
From Doing the Work to Improving How It Gets Done
I began transitioning into civilian work through SkillBridge while still serving in the Army, and formally left military service in July 2023. I continued into technical management supporting Air Force work, overseeing three cross-functional teams comprising approximately 27 engineers, analysts, and product stakeholders.
Later, I was recruited into a leadership role spanning ten teams and two applications within a major government program. Within my first sixty days, I identified repetitive work that could be automated. The improvements produced estimated annual labor savings of more than $250,000.
I enjoyed leading teams, but I was especially drawn to the problems beneath their workload: repeated mistakes, unnecessary handoffs, and processes that consumed time without improving outcomes.
That interest became a connection between my professional work, my education, and what I would eventually build myself.
The Beginnings of OmniMint
I began trading in 2020 and became interested in the algorithms behind investment decisions. Over time, I built tools to automate parts of my trading workflow to meet the demands of my career.
Two frustrations kept returning. Managing different assets meant working across multiple platforms. And when people asked whether they could use my algorithms, I discovered how much organizational, security, and technical infrastructure that would require.
Those questions became the starting point for OmniMint.
That work has evolved into a connected software workspace for registered investment advisor (RIA) firms. Today, as Founder and CTO, I am building connections between client relationships and onboarding, strategy research and recommendations, compliance reviews, and marketing. Ask Andi is being developed to coordinate specialized agents and make progress, decisions, and next steps visible. Authorized people retain professional judgment and required approvals. OmniMint is in development; its public screens are illustrative previews.

What I’m Working Toward
After completing my Executive MBA at UTSA in May 2025, I continued studying software engineering at St. Mary’s University. I’m on track to graduate in December 2026 with an expected 4.0 GPA, focusing on agentic systems and workflow optimization. That work has helped lay the foundation for OmniMint.
My capstone and planned research explore multi-agent architectures that can diagnose mistakes, learn from them, and improve how they work.
